Positive: Rise’s house exceeded our expectations. Rise went out of his way to collect us and drop us to the train station and he even spent time showing us around the neighbourhood and teaching us about the local history. It was one of the best stays in our whole Japan trip. The house was spotless and cosy and was a real treat to stay in. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Nishio!

Positive: Rise was communicative during the booking process and arranged to meet us at Nishio station upon arrival. He picked us up with his car, which made getting to the house easy, even with luggage. The house is clean and stylish and includes everything one would need, even for a muli-week stay. I stayed three nights with my parents and planned three activies with Risa. My favorite was the unagi eel farm visit, which was interesting and ultimately delicioius. Risa took us around with his car and translated when needed. I also really liked receiving a list of recommended restaurants near the house from Risa, making the decision for dinner quick and easy. The recommendations were all great. Overall, I definitely remommend staying here. I had a great time and loved exploring Nishio and the surrounding areas.

Negative: My parents complained that it was a little cold, but that is just the way japanese-style houses are. The air conditioning units, of which there is one in every respective room of the house, were already running when we arrived so it was plenty warm in my opinion.

Positive: Everything about this stay was perfect, and I truly feel lucky to have spent time here. The house is a two-story traditional Japanese-style home where we could genuinely experience the culture. It was clear that the host put great care into every detail of the design, and the futon bedding provided was exceptionally comfortable. The space was spotless and very quiet. The host also gave us detailed and thoughtful recommendations about cultural activities in the area, which made our family trip even more enjoyable. On top of that, he helped our family with transportation, allowing us to create wonderful memories in Nishio.

Negative: Nothing at all. My only concern is that this place may become so popular that we might not be able to book it again in the future.

Summary: Perfect Japanese-style home and an exceptionally kind host "Rise!"

Positive: Definitely recommending the experience of staying at Rise’s house! wanted to celebrate my partner’s birthday with tea ceremony and matcha grinding, and was memorable activity! the house has great Japanese traditional/modern cozy vibes with tatami and tea room, and besides this Rise, the host, was very friendly and welcoming, with warm hospitality introduced us to some charming locals and nicely recommended restaurants and places to visit, which we really enjoyed! he even booked a very nice restaurant with birthday surprise included, how great is that, we hope you also enjoy the experience as muchas we did 😊

Negative: We really don’t have any !

Positive: Rise was the perfect host, extremely nice and kind, he took time to show us in detail his house and entertained us with interesting and funny anecdotes about his city/region. Located in a quiet area, Rise's house is a traditional and warmfull house with modern comfort, making us feel at home but without the inconveniences of domestic tasks ! Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to visit nor attend the various activities in Nishio due to our short stay. Many thanks Rise for your welcome, we hope we would come back to your town and house.

Positive: I had an incredible experience staying at this beautiful house in Nishio, Japan. The house itself was extremely comfortable and beautifully maintained, giving a true sense of traditional Japanese living. The attention to detail made it feel authentic, while still offering all the modern comforts. Nishio is a charming village with plenty to explore—whether it’s the delicious local restaurants, the serene Japanese garden, or the fascinating rebuilt castle. One of the highlights of the area is the abundance of tea plantations—if you’re a fan of matcha, this is definitely the place to be! The host, Rise, was simply fantastic. He knows everything about the neighborhood and made me feel right at home with his friendly and helpful attitude. The house was spotless, the neighborhood peaceful, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Japan!

Negative: Well, the only "bad" thing was that we had to leave! Everything was perfect—from the cozy, spotless house to the peaceful neighborhood and the amazing host, Rise. If anything, the biggest challenge was resisting the urge to drink matcha all day long (but is that really a problem?). Honestly, if there was any issue, it’s that I didn’t have enough days to enjoy it all!
